Eugene earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Washington University and a Masters in Health Administration and Planning from Washington University School of Medicine, earning a Masters in Health Administration and Planning in St. Louis, Missouri. He was commissioned in the United States Navy as a Medical Service Corps Officer and served in many leadership and command roles in Navy Medicine. He retired from the Navy as a Captain (06) in 2006 after thirty one years of military service. He earned a Master of Arts from St. Mary’s University as a Distinguished Graduate in Marriage and Family Therapy in San Antonio, Texas and a Ph.D. from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor(LPC-S) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MMFT) in the State of Texas and supervises LPC-Interns.
Eugene works from a Christian worldview to help clients integrate new ways of thinking and behaving that are consistent with their faith and belief system. Gene has completed all three levels of the Gottman Institute’s Method Couples Therapy and EMDR Basic Training at Baylor University from trainer Rick Levinson LCSW.
Dr. Barron's professional affiliations include, Clinical Fellow American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT), American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Member, EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), Fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and Fellow, Royal College of Health (FRCH) London, England. Dr. Barron serves on the Advisory Board of Directors Military Community Youth Ministries MCYM.
Cost Per Session: Your Insurance Copay/Co-insurance. For those not using insurance/out of network, the cost is $120/session.
